Jarvis Rail has a history of innovation having co-developed the Accutrack technology and methodology which has created a step change in the track renewals industry. Jarvis Rail has an established reputation in the UK for developing cutting edge solutions for railway restoration, improvement and enhancement works, all delivered to precise and exceptional standards. AccutrackAccutrack - The complete track renewals process combining unique technology with rigorous processes and highly skilled people. The process is supported by the RBE1000 Rapid Ballast Excavator (RBE) using laser alignment and removing up to 1000 tonnes per hour. The RBE is complemented with a fleet of Track Renewal Systems (TRS) offering the flexibility and capability to deliver and place steel or concrete sleepers, lift and remove/replace track panels and install long lengths of rail. Using the TRS technology production rates are generally twice that of traditional methods. Our philosophy is one of continuous development and improvement. We strive to further develop all aspects of the Accutrack process, bringing continued benefits to our clients. Jarvis WeldingJarvis Rail employs a large team of highly experienced track welders and weld inspectors at strategic locations throughout the UK. Each area depot has a welding manager and a team of weld inspectors to enable all inspections to be carried out in-house and to exact and high standards. Welding managers are responsible for organising all track welding requirements for their area including inspection and records. Overall responsibility for the standard of the company's track welding is that of welding engineer Joe Small. Joe has 35 years rail industry experience, 30 spent in rail welding, giving ample experience in undertaking this important role.
The company has a rigorous approach to monitoring and improving its welding standards and ensures that a complete record of all track welding installations and inspections is available. A central company welding database has been developed for all managers to input all project and weld details. Jarvis Rail continues to strive to ensure track welding standards are at the highest level. The percentage rate for rejected welds has continually reduced over the past twelve months and is now at the lowest level in the company's history. Jarvis Rail is committed to further improving the conditions in which welders operate on the track including enhanced transport and equipment, better access and improved rail alignment and top. The company's team of experienced permanent way managers are committed to ensuring that track welders are given every opportunity to achieve top quality track welding on every Jarvis Rail site.
An innovative company, Jarvis Rail is continually seeking new ways to improve infrastructure renewals including its welding processes and is actively involved in the development of new and ground breaking projects.
